In summary: beauty, magnesium and collagen gummies are best taken
in the morning, during or just after breakfast. Sleep gummies are
taken 30 minutes before bedtime. The most important thing remains consistency:
an imperfect routine kept every day is better than an ideal time forgotten every other day.
Morning or evening?
It depends entirely on what the formula contains.
- In the morning for everything that supports energy, beauty and vitality:
B vitamins, vitamin C, biotin, zinc, collagen. B vitamins in particular
contribute to energy-yielding metabolism, which makes more sense at the start of the day. - In the evening for what supports falling asleep: melatonin contributes
to reducing the time it takes to fall asleep, provided it is taken just before bedtime. - Either way for magnesium, which some people prefer in the evening
for its soothing effect on nervousness.
On an empty stomach or with a meal?
The useful rule: during or just after a meal in the vast majority of
cases. A meal containing a little fat improves the absorption of fat-soluble
vitamins (A, D, E, K), and taking them with a meal limits the digestive discomfort that
some people feel on an empty stomach.
The exception is the sleep course: it is taken in the evening, away from dinner, about
30 minutes before going to bed.
How many per day?
Always the dose indicated on the bottle, no more, no less. Doubling the doses does not double
the results: beyond a certain threshold, the body simply eliminates the excess of
water-soluble vitamins, and some fat-soluble vitamins can build up. If you
forget a dose, simply resume the next day without making up for it.
Can you combine several courses?
Yes, provided you check that the formulas do not duplicate the same vitamins.
Pairing a gummies
morning course and a sleep
course in the evening is the most common combination, as they do not overlap.
On the other hand, combining two formulas rich in B vitamins without checking the intake is of no
benefit. If you are unsure, you can
build your routine or ask our
pharmacist for advice.
Should I take breaks?
For a comfort course, the most common pattern is three months of use, followed by a one-month
break before possibly starting again. Some people follow targeted courses at
the change of seasons, periods when hair loss and fatigue are more pronounced.
What if I often forget?
That is the real issue. A course stopped after three weeks will give no
result, whatever the quality of the formula. A few tips that work:
put the bottle next to the coffee machine, link the dose to a gesture that is already automatic
(brushing your teeth, breakfast), and keep the bottle visible rather than tucked away in a
cupboard.
Precautions
Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Melatonin is not recommended for pregnant
or breastfeeding women, children and people undergoing treatment; ask a
healthcare professional for advice if in doubt. Keep out of reach of children.
